Triforce Favoritism by Lethalityrush Triforce Favoritism by Lethalityrush
If you haven't played The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword or the Wind Waker, you should be aware that this contains some minor spoilers for the games...but if you're reading this it's probably too late because you maybe glanced over the comic/comments already... Oh well, at least Zelda games are more about the gameplay instead of the story.

Now then, did anyone find it strange that Link could make a wish with the Triforce without touching it compared to when Wind Waker Ganondorf couldn't? The King of Hyrule sure showed Ganondorf by stealing his wish, but in order to do that he was touching the Triforce. Hmmm...maybe Link just has better wishing skills...whatever.

Also, that pose with Link and Zelda was based off of something in another game. If you know what it is, feel free to say or not say what game it was based off of .;) (Wink)

Oh, would you look at that Wii.

I think the triforce is like a magic lamp, it probably changes who gets the wish if someone else touches it.

If only you didn't have to explain the jokes to make them jokes. Ironically making them unfunny in the process.

Anyone know who Demise is?
CrimsonSunset218 Featured By Owner Aug 9, 2015
:happybounce:  I do!  I do!  I do!!  :happybounce:

Demise is a character in Skyward Sword (played on the Wii).  :D (Big Grin)

Grump I won't say more because that would involve spoilers.  No, I disagree!

Unless you'll never play the game, in which case I'd be happy to elaborate. Woohooooo!
theghostsaint21 Featured By Owner Aug 9, 2015  Student General Artist
I played it, whats embarrassing is I cant get started on the fire temple, the furthest I got was getting the bomb bag.
CrimsonSunset218 Featured By Owner Aug 9, 2015
Ah.  Well, you haven't met Demise yet.  You will, but I won't say WHEN you will!!!  *evil conspiratorial grin*

Are you having a hard time getting to the temple?

Or getting started because you just don't care right now?

I looked up the boss fight on youtube....
CrimsonSunset218 Featured By Owner Aug 12, 2015
Ah.   Well. . . .  Um. . . goooood?. . . maybe?   I find it hard to finish a game when I know the ending.  I can replay games very easily, but I have to not know the end in order to get through it the first time around.  Just to have the satisfaction of the story.  Hmm...  Maybe I can see why you are having a hard time with the game.

Eyepopping  ]]]]]SPOILER ALERT[[[[[  Eyepopping

(I hope you don't take offense at my vagueness.  I'm trying not to spoil it too much for potential readers.)

Demise is the kinda last boss.
(though I think you knew that after watching the boss fight)

Censored  GAME PLAY SPOILER!!! Censored

When I was fighting Demise, I tried running away from him, thinking he would plod slowly behind me (I was fresh from Twilight Princess' final battle).  Then I made the mistake of turning around.   I've never had such a shock as when I saw him RIGHT THERE behind me, attacking me.  *shudders*  Gives me the spooks just thinking about it.  I was low on hearts at the time, thinking I'd get some distance and take a potion.  While he didn't kill me, he did start me running again.  Well, more dancing around him.  After I took my potion I, naturally, tried running away again.  Wasn't as scary the second time, which is a bit of a bummer.  *shrug*  aww well.

The Zelda/Link pose is from Fire Emblem Awakening!! I think it's from one of the male!Robin marriage scenes, yeah?
sanddry86x Featured By Owner Jul 31, 2015
To be honest, in Skyward Sword he had like all of the parts in his hand and he's usually the only person doing stuff in the series so I think the Triforce really does just favorites him.

Zelda logic.

*Is way taller than actual height*

Link is a pretty short fellow. Look in Soul Calibur 2, he's the second smallest character, only taller than Talim who is 4 feet 8.

Personally, I think this is because in Skyward sword, the tri force hasn't actually split yet. :)

Karakitsune8 Featured By Owner Jun 2, 2015
Probably because he's the only one who could posses al three pieces at once and not make them split
MysticD Featured By Owner Edited May 17, 2015
maybe it has something to do with him being the legendery destined hero and Hylia made it acceptable for link to make the wish mentally?

Ha, poor poor Ganon XD
BeckyChanX3 Featured By Owner Apr 15, 2015  Hobbyist
I think it's only fair that Link can make a wish without touching the triforce.
I mean,think about it.
Ganon can use the triforce of power to do a lot of badass stuff.
Same for Zelda, she can use her triforce of wisdom to use magic!
And Link? His triforce of courage turns him into a frickin wolf from time to time ._.

Link already touched, so he don't needed to touch again.

Maybe the Triforce grew weaker over the years or something. Since this takes place long before Wind Waker.

Sorry Ganondorf. Call the Nintendo complaints hotline the next time that happens. The number is 1-800-YOU-SUCK.
HamburgerMarsupial Featured By Owner Jan 8, 2015
That's actually a good point. How come Link can get away with that shit and Ganondorf can't?
omar2203 Featured By Owner Jan 8, 2015
Poor WW Ganondork
TheShepard256 Featured By Owner Jan 7, 2015
Maybe you don't actually have to touch the Triforce, just that whoever's closest has dibs on their wish, and touching is as close as you can get.
logicalpencils Featured By Owner Jan 6, 2015
The reason I always had for the necessity to touch the Triforce for basically everyone except SS Link for it to work is as follows:

SS Link did not just earn the Triforce, like WW Ganondorf or LttP Link. He became worthy of it. He was the only person known in Hyrule history to actually forge his soul to become worthy of all parts of the Triforce. So, when he collected it, he became its owner, and could wish on it freely.

A more simple way to explain Ganondorf's need to touch it is that there were multiple people who had a part of the Triforce, so the once who got the wish was decided by who touched it first. In this case, it is King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule, former bearer of (most of) the Triforce of Wisdom.

Azzzanadra Featured By Owner May 5, 2015
well there are many girls out there that have red hair.
bigbulbasaur Featured By Owner May 6, 2015
Possible Gerudo Ancestry

It is possible that Malon's mother is a Gerudo or has Gerudo ancestry as Malon has vibrant red hair and her father, Talon, gives an interesting reaction when Link approaches him while wearing the Gerudo Mask, he will say that it looks like his wife, but then decides against it. If that is the case, that would raise the question on why she wasn't raised as a Gerudo (although this may be because of her differences compared to the other Gerudos).
